In Response to the Guidelines set out by the Horse Council of BC, Via Sport, the Public Health Office, and my insurance provider there will be some changes to our programs so that we can return to lessons safely. These procedures may be changed or updated as required by the official governing bodies. This information is current from June 19th. 

• No one with symptoms can come to lessons, before each lesson a health survey is required.
• There are no hand-washing facilities at the arena. Please bring and use your own hand sanitizer.
• Physical distancing of 3-6 feet, when physical distancing is not possible, face masks can be worn.
• Reduced number of lessons per day and increased time between lesson for cleaning and disinfecting and to reduce the number of people in the area at one time. Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before your lesson time. 
• Helmets - We can no longer provide helmets for your use. While equine rated helmets are recommended, you may use bike/ski/snowboard helmets for your lessons. 
• High contact surfaces
  • Saddle - As leather saddles can not be properly disinfected, I have purchased saddle covers for each rider/day,  which will properly cleaned before re-use. 
  • Halter/Bridle - Only Nichole will be touching the halter and bridle as they can not be properly disinfected.
  • Lead rope/Brushes- I have purchased extra lead ropes and brushes. Each rider will be assigned a set to borrow for lessons. You will take these with you and bring them to your next lesson. 
  • Reins - I have purchased non-leather reins that will be disinfected between riders.
  • Stirrups - Nichole will adjust the length of the stirrups for each rider.
  • Tacking up- Nichole will be tacking up the horses other than the reins and lead rope, which each rider will be responsible for. (These will be provided for you)
  • Arena gates - Please allow coaches to open and close gates. We will disinfect them between lessons.
